Denzil spent most of the 1970s working full time for Sales and Managment Services in South Yarra, producing commercial and industrial “Audio-Visuals”.
His passion for acting on the stage took a back seat during these years. But sometime circa 1979-1980, he accepted an offer to play the part of “Wally” in the office comedy “Flexitime” written by Roger Hall.
In comedy Denzil was in his element and Flexitime was one of his favourite theatrical stints. He particularly enjoyed the experience and camaraderie of touring the production interstate.
Directed by Don Mackay, the production featured Terry McDermott, Michael Carman, Anne Phelan, Syd Conabere, Hu Pryce and Chris Connelly.
