One area of work that Denzil was able to enjoy well into his old age was that of a voice-over artist. The capacity he had for character voices and accents that had served him so well during his professional life remained, even if the characters had become a little older.
Here we see Denzil in action in his early 80s recording a voice over at a studio in Clarendon Street, Melbourne. He was playing the role of a crusty old spice merchant. His agent, Garry Stewart, said of him “Film, theatre, and television, no job was too small, and Denzil tackled everything with skill and enthusiasm”.
