Cycling In Warrnambool in the 1940s

The well-dressed radio announcer on his way with a colleague somewhere in Warrnambool in the late 1940s. One of a collection of photos from Denzil’s stint in country radio at 3YB from 1945 to 1948.

When his father passed away, Denzil’s mother came from Castlemaine to live with him in Warrnambool. Her dislike of the cold coastal climate contributed to Denzil’s decision to return to Melbourne where he took up a role as newsreader for the Argus news service.
